The PIPER software, PIPER Child Human Body Models, etc. were created as part of the EC Funded PIPER Project.
The work leading to the many of the results presented on this site has received funding from the European Union Seventh Framework Program ([FP7/2007-2013]) under grant agreement 605544 [PIPER project]).
The PIPER EU project will end on April 30, 2017.

piper-project.org is an Open Source project started at the end of the EU project.

piper-project.org is an Open Source project. 

Its members are people that participated the PIPER EU project, that share the same [[vision|Vision]] and would like to continue the effort. The project aims to promote this vision and help animate/coordinate the life around the Open Source tools and models.

It is hoped that this will facilitate contributions by third parties. The group also would like to create recognizable versions (e.g. PIPER Child HBM vX.X.X) such that users know what performance they should expect.
